Dru i think if we're going to have a campaign we need to add some sort of progression scale to it. like choosing one vanilla HQ and allow him to "level" up after every battle if he survives by adding new gear, or models in Elite squads level up stats, for example a Nobz squad goes into battle kills maybe 2 troops an elite and an HQ maybe allow 2 Nobz in the squad to get boosted strength or Initiative or something like that. If were going to do a Campaign lets add some flavor to it and not play the same boring games over and over again

Eh, I don't think that would be a good idea. That would be a lot of micromanaging.

well thats the whole point of a campaign if you wanted to just get together and play games then set up a league a campaign has to have creativity or itll be just another set of games

While I agree with warrior35 in principle, I think for our first effort we should start slowly and add in some of those features in future campaigns once we get used to having an organized, long term thing going on.

that's a great idea paul, however iron within is right, just too much management. this is meant to be simple and narrative. i'm not averse to giving bonus things to folks who really get into the flavor of the campaign. say you have an hq who does something spectacular in a game. you write up a great report detailing what happened. who knows, maybe i'll toss something your way.

Sounds complicated Question >.< Question - Genraly to keep all the things strait

Glory to the gods of Chaos!

Seriously you might want to consider adding nids to the zenos it would "balence" the campaign more.

I think i will join in on this, it looks like the forces of disorder are a little overwhelming, so i'll try to tip the scales and bring the guard.

My fluff is up. I hope everyone enjoys it. I think I should change my avatar pic for the duration of the campaign. Something with a bit more grey/black in it.

Bob Dole thinks Bob Dole should chime in for the Imerium.

Actually, Bob Dole just likes to hear Bob Dole talk about Bob Dole.

a note on fluff and narrative campaign.

the first battle gave us great ground work for some good narrative. rivalries could be started, boss sarge and all those marines he killed may need some revenge, perhaps a budding rivalry between chuck's relictors and juan's wolves. the story of the ever shifting alliances of the eldar could add some spice as well. these are just a few of the numerous that could spark up.

chuck has started by adding some great story to his chapter and gotten a narrative going. this is a great example of how a campaign can get going without having complex systems of advancement and such.

Well, I haven't felt good all day, and haven't felt up to hunching over the painting table (so I have got absolutely nothing done). Something good still came out of my feverish delusions, however. I came up some between battle campaign fluff from the Relictors perspective. I just hope it makes sense to everyone else. Might be rubbish, I got Nyquil in me. It will be in the thread for the Sept 10 Apocalypse battle.

Ok, even more story put up. I needed a break from the painting table. Maybe I will type some more later, I gotta figure out how to wrap it up.
